This Privacy Policy explains how the Hotstar Login browser extension handles information when you use the extension.

The extension may process the following data:

• Login token entered by you in the extension popup to verify access.
• Hotstar cookie data required to establish your session on hotstar.com.
• Local extension state (for example: enabled/disabled status and activity timestamps) stored in browser local storage.

2. How Information Is Used

• To verify the token you provide through the extension backend endpoint.
• To apply valid session cookies on hotstar.com for login.
• To clear cookies and local data when requested, on inactivity logic, or when the extension is disabled/suspended.
• To enforce in-page behavior related to account/session safety features on supported Hotstar pages.

3. Network Requests

When you submit a token, the extension sends it to: https://hotstar.daddypharma.com/api/verify-token with a platform identifier. This request is used only for token verification and obtaining session cookie data required for login.

4. Data Storage

• Data is primarily stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.
• The extension can remove Hotstar cookies and clear local extension data automatically or on user action.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data entered in the extension is processed only as needed to provide extension functionality, including token verification through the backend service listed above.

6. Security

Reasonable steps are taken to limit processing to what is necessary for authentication/session management. However, no transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be 100% secure.

7. Children’s Privacy

This extension is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
